Our Story

Bird Touring

During his initial work with birds in the Galapagos Islands, Carlos Vinueza witnessed a demand for birding in Ecuador:

"I started to see that a lot of people were incredibly interested in the birds of Ecuador, and that is when I understood that birding would be a great business, but also a really good way to protect our threatened Ecoregion. After working for a few more years in some projects in the Ecuadorian southwest region, and noted the incredible biodiversity and endemism, I decided to embark on this journey."

Carlos established Tumbesian Birding with the goal to provide the best birding experience in Central and Southwest Ecuador.

"Our birding guides offer a unique experience to our clients, doing their best to find the different species of birds, found in our rich habitats."
